Judson School Abuse Lawsuit
A lawsuit filed Monday alleges that Judson Independent School District employees knew that students were being abused.
Allegations against a former Judson Independent School District special education teacher's aide are being investigated as more and more former students step forward with claims of sexual abuse while thhey were students at the school.
The lawsuit was filed in federal court on behalf of one of the female victims who claim to have been sexually abused by 39-year-old Rogelio Ruiz while a student at Ed Franz Elementary School.
The attorney from the victims law firm, stated that nothing was done to protect the kids.
Also listed in the lawsuit is Cynthia Barnhart, who was principal at Ed Franz at the time of the reported abuse.
Ruiz was arrested on November 12. He is accused of inappropriately touching students in his charge during his 12-year tenure at Judson ISD.
Cynthia Barnhart is now on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
