A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of California resident Amanda Obney against fast food chain Taco Bell for false advertising of its Mexican inspired food products containing what the company has marketed as beef.
The lawsuit which seeks truth in advertising in the way Taco Bell markets it's taco , burrito , nacho and other beef based Mexican food products, states that the meat used in these fast food products contain less than 35% of actual beef.
The lawsuit goes on to state that the remaining ingredients include binders and extenders as well as well as soy and an anti dusting agent.
Taco Bell has stated they intend to fight this lawsuit and further indicated that the accusations filed in the lawsuit are false.
The attorneys responsible for filing the Taco Bell lawsuit have had Taco Bell's meat product tested by a third party independent laboratory and have used the results stating that the meat substance was is in fact less than 40% actual beef.
Do I Have a lawsuit has not put our power behind this lawsuit as we have not seen the official test results.
We want to know what you think.... do you believe that Taco Bell beef contains less than 40% actual ground beef? Do you suspect other chains are guilty if the same thing?
