Effexor is venlafaxine hydrochloride tablets are for oral administration

and used to treat major depressive disorder. Venlafaxine hydrochloride white, crystalline solid that is soluble in water. Antidepressant medications are used for the treatment of a variety of conditions to help prevent thought of suicide and attempts of suicide and to provide other important benefits.

Studies show, however that a small number of people who take these antidepressants may experience depression getting worse or suicidal thoughts. The doctor should be notified if patient is experiencing these problems.

 

Antidepressants increase the risk suicidal thinking and behavior in children. If use of Effexor is considered in children, the risk should be balanced with the clinical need.
