Omniscan is a gadodiamide injection for intravenous use. It is a clear, sterile, and colorless to slightly yellow, aqueous solution that contains 287mg of gadodiamide. Omniscan should be inspected visually for discoloration and particulate matter and should not be used if either of these is present. Omniscan should be drawn into syringe immediately when preparing to administer and any unused portion of Omniscan should be discarded. The injection of Omniscan should be flushed with 5mL of 0.9% sodium chloride to ensure that the desired volume is delivered completely.
